"Presence at the Fine Line"
Wednesday, April 6th close to 150 persons attended the best show hands down I have ever done. Each artist had something very special about them that night; like a special glow. I was so proud honestly.
Ashley DuBose was at pole position, to me she could have headlined, she was inspiring and uplifting and astounding all at the same time, her voice was just beautiful, she had this electric-pop sound to her performance. Hard to describe in-depth but it was very lovable.
Margeaux Davis is such a power-house, I love watching her perform, she brings such an interesting dynamic; she's fun and extremely talented, her songs music and lyrics always make you feel good, and entertained. Margeaux's performance was very inviting and electrifying. I do predict she will be legendary.
Dominoe Che'ya Came third, Dominoe brought so much energy to his performance, it wasn't his best I know but still entertaining nonetheless. His presence was great and the crowd liked him, It was great having him there.
Lipset wooooooooooo! Lipset was on fire! High energy, crazy presence and a DJ who impressed the entire venue everyone was captivated. DJ Gabe, I would have to say that was his best performance I have ever seen. Lipset is a poet lyrically and a beast on stage man. He paved the way for Mike Dreams perfectly, and we all were on stand-by knowing we had to bring our A-game.
Mike Dreams! As I said Lipset was a tough act to follow but Dreams pulled it off MAJORLY! This set was one of my favorites, all of the passion and energy Mike displayed was not only captivating but intensifying everyone was on the edge of their seats. Mike elevated the standard on stage with his performance, Danami was next to perform and boy was he ready!
Danami started the show with a bang, everything after just made me more and more nervous because I was next lol. Danami's performance was the greatest I've ever seen him, the crowd hung on every word his stage presence was crazy, Danami was in his element and you could tell. He and his band was so in-tune and his lyrics blew us all away. The entire building's eyes were glued to the stage, it was an amazing performance.
Now all of the pressure is on me, before I got on stage I did my ritual, my vocal warm-ups, my stretch, and my meditation, got my water and I'm set. I got up there and noticed no one has left sense Lipset, my band were playing my intro, once we started I was lost in the performance and the next thing I knew in-between it all; there were tears, laughs, smiles and all. I was very humble because of it. Zach, Patrick, Dan, and Rohan (my band members) were perfect Tameya Clark (the Supporting vocalist who stole the show) was just as impeccable. The show was a success and I thank everyone involved.
